David M. Perkal
Managing Partner
Prior to founding Swanhill Capital in 2006, David worked in leveraged finance as an investment banker in the high yield group at Fleet Securities, and subsequently spent several years in commercial lending at GE Capital and CIT Group. David is also an adjunct professor at NYU – Stern School of Business in the Accounting Department. He graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Economics and Italian Studies, and holds an M.A. in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University – School of Advanced International Studies, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from NYU – Stern School of Business.
Yamilee Bastien
Yamilee is an experienced former U.S. diplomat with expertise in facilitating business development, global trade and investments in complex political and regulatory landscapes. Throughout her 30-year career in international affairs, she served as Commercial Counselor at multiple U.S. Embassies, facilitating large deals and global expansion for U.S. companies. She graduated from Florida International University with a B.A. in International Relations, and holds an M.A. degree in International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University - School of Advanced International Studies.
Andrew Bonita
Andy has over twenty-five years of experience in asset management, private equity and capital markets. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of Antarctica Capital where his responsibilities included investment origination, credit analysis and evaluation and transaction execution. Prior to joining Antarctica, Andy worked at Lazard Freres where he assisted in overseeing a portfolio of approximately $3 billion of fixed income structured products, and subsequently founded an alternative investment firm focused on market-neutral investments in the fixed income arena. He graduated from Boston University School of Management with a B.S./B.A. in finance, and is a holder of the CFA designation.
Dr. Wassim Choucair
For over twenty years, Dr. Choucair has been a general and interventional cardiologist and electrophysiologist. He owns Heart and Rhythm Institute of South Texas located in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Biochemistry, and received his M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his residency and fellowships in internal medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology from George Washington University, the National Institute of Health, and Georgetown University Hospital.
